Yesterday was officially the first day of spring, well I don’t know about you but I'm still freezing! There’s also a lot of snow forecast for my area this weekend which I'm really not looking forward too, it’s not cute any more  Anyway even though the weather is still dull a pop of colour on my nails always manages to brighten my mood.

Tour De Finance by Essie is a gorgeous fuchsia colour with a subtle blue shimmer to it, I couldn't really capture this in the photos but it really is a beautiful colour.

I achieved an opaque look in one coat but I applied 2 to be on the safe side. I love the fact the brush is so big, it pretty much covers my whole nail making application quick and easy, which is fabulous if you are impatient like me!

I think this colour is great for a night out, at the weekend I wore a simple black playsuit and I think my pink talons really completed the look. It will also be gorgeous for summer, you know, if it actually arrives this year.

Today is Friday for me and I'm off to see Biffy Clyro tonight woo hoo! Bring on a three day weekend.

Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm

Natural Lift and Sculpt Moringa Cleansing Balm

Unless you have been hibernating through winter you will have seen this cleanser working its way around the bloggersphere, I’ve mentioned this product in a few of my recent posts but it’s about time it got its own little moment in the spotlight.

For the past year Liz Earle and Avene have been my most reached for cleansers but with the hype surrounding the Emma Hardie Amazing Face Natural Lift and Sculpt Moringa Cleansing Balm (phew, yes that’s its full name!) I had to grab a pot for myself.

The balm is infused with Botanical extracts of Moringa seeds, Wild Sea Fennel and Vitamin E which balance and purify the skin, it also helps to reduce the appearance of pores and revitalise dehydrated skin, fabulous.

As I have combination /oily skin I was a bit apprehensive about using a balm cleanser but it turns out it was exactly what my skin was craving.

To apply you use a small amount in the palm of your hand and mix with a few drops of water, this is supposed to create a ‘milk’ that you apply all over your face. I think the word ‘milk’ is a bit confusing, it doesn’t turn creamy like the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish formula, there was no foaming or lathering it’s just the balm turning into an oily consistency. The balm sinks into your skin then you remove it with a flannel or muslin cloth. Sometimes I like to keep the cleanser on for a few minutes extra if I feel like my skin needs a bit more hydration or if I have been wearing heavier make up. This will remove every scrap of makeup.

Since using this every night I have noticed massive changes is my skin, I love how soft my skin feels and my oil is definitely more balanced. My chin is usually prone to blemishes but they have completely disappeared and I just think that my skin just feels and looks better in general.

Just Can't Find The Words

I took lots of lovely blog photos this weekend and I have plenty to say about each and every one of them but I just can’t find the right words. I'm not sure if I'm just in one of those Monday slumps where I wish it was still the weekend but whatever it is it has well and truly stolen my inspiration. Do you ever get like this?

To make myself feel a bit better I have been scrolling through the thousands of pictures on We Heart It, looking for pretty things to cheer myself up, well It has worked but now I want to spend money I haven’t got on new make up shoes and girly dresses. The chocolate Mickey Mouse made me especially happy as it reminded me of my holiday to Disney Land in July! It’s not all bad.

Anyway I'm hoping ill snap out of this soon so I'm off to make my myself another cup of tea and try to clear my fuzzy old head.

Nars Blush in Orgasm

Probably the most iconic blush out there, I'm very happy to say the Infamous Nars Blush in Orgasm is finally mine after picking it up in a blog sale. This is my very first (can you believe it) Nars blush so you can imagine my excitement.

Orgasm is a Gorgeous peach pink with gold shimmer running through it which leaves a gorgeous healthy looking glow. I can’t wait til the sun comes out to play a bit more because the blush is made for the summer weather and will also look great with a tan. You also don’t really need to use a highlighter with this as its pretty much built in.

I can definitely see why Nars Blushes are so hyped In the beauty world they are so easy to apply and very pigmented so you don’t need to use too much product.

After picking this up in a blog sale I would have no hesitation paying full price for my next Nars blush, I think £21.50 is quite pricey but the quality is definitely worth it. Although I am still hoping this will last as long as possible so at the moment this is my ‘special occasion blush’.
