TRESemme Instant Refresh

TRESemme Instant Refresh Waterless Foam shampoo 150ml £4.79

‘Give dry, frizz prone hair moisture and shine in-between washes with this unique foam shampoo. Reduces oil and odour without water, leaving hair feeling soft and clean’

I’ve never really had much luck with dry shampoo, why everyone raves over Batiste I have to clue. I hate the way it smells, feels and makes my hair look so I’m always on the lookout for something to make my hair last that little bit longer between washes.  My hair is a mixture; it can get dry at the end and oily at the roots. I usually have to wash my hair every other day, any longer and the oiliness takes over, (gross I know).

I have heard good things about TRESemme products so picked this up on a whim to give it a go. Pump 2-3 times into your hand (2 is plenty) and distribute through your hair. Wait a minute and then pat dry with a towel or use a hair dryer. Patting dry with a towel did absolutely nothing for me to I used the hair dryer instead.

I did notice a slight difference in the amount of oil at my roots but unfortunately it wasn’t the miracle I was hoping for. I will continue to use this as it’s far better than others I’ve tried but my quest will continue.
I think I might try a different approach and look for a nice clarifying shampoo as I’ve heard they are supposed to keep your hair cleaner between washes?

Do you use dry shampoo or any other products to help your hair stay cleaner for longer? I would love to know, please send me your recommendations.

  2. I don't really like TRESemme products because I've found that they make my hair looked and feel sort of 'clogged up' so I just stay clear of them. I use dry shampoo but a really cheap one and it seems to be okay. When I've ran out I use talc and that actually works just as well, if not better! Luckily for me I can go 3-4 days without my hair needing a wash though

  4. Luckily for me Batiste and talc work okay on my hair, colour wise.. But they make it go so static! Seriously I look like I've had several balloons rubbed over my noggin' :(
Batiste do do a coloured spray now though for darker hair, I accidentally picked it up and ended up with brown roots once xxx

  5. Hey, just got your link on the bbloggers chat, glad I clicked on because I was considering buying this stuff! might give it a miss though. I normally use the batiste dry shampoo, but I sometimes use talc, I just sprinkle some on my roots and massage it in, not too much or it goes white and totally obvious...Does the job for me though :)
