Nails Inc Feather Effect Nails

With spring on the way now is definitely the time to start whipping out those pastel shades on your nails and Nails Inc have come up with a strange but funky way of jazzing them up.

I love simple ways to add a bit of fun to my nails so I was really excited to try ‘Feathers’ by Nails Inc. Chester  is a clear polish with flecks of blue and yellow ‘feathers’, it looks a bit like those hundreds and thousands that you usually sprinkle onto a cupcake .

I used Chester on Top of Chelsea Physic Garden from the Ice Cream shades collection which is a gorgeous sky blue colour as I think full coverage feather nails might look a bit over the top for everyday wear in my office.

I love Chelsea Physic Garden alone, it's absolutely perfect for the time of year especially now the sun is starting to come out. (Well it did last weekend, I really hope it will come back!).

The Feather polish is so pretty but I found it quite difficult to work with as the flecks tend to stick together making it hard to get a nice even coverage, as you can see in my picture it isn't the most tidy of looks.  It takes a lot of patience at at least 3 or 4 coats to achieve an opaque look.. The Feathers tend to look better on pale/pastel nails.

The Feathers dry quickly and, like all Nails Inc products I've tried it has great wear time, I will warn you though that it is so difficult to remove. If you are a lover of glitter polish you will know what I mean but the feather removal was just on another level!

You can pick up Nails Inc Feather Effect Nails from Lookfantastic for £11. What do you think? Will you be adding a little flutter to your nails this spring?

I Heart...Bourjois

The Bourjois Face

Hi Ladies. Today is the start of my ‘I Heart…’ series, there are so many brands and products that I have been so impressed with recently so I thought this would give me a chance to show your different pieces that I highly recommend and hopefully you will like too.

I have never experienced a bad Bourjois product. Everything I have purchased I have been more than happy with, the quality is always worthy of high end products and the packaging is so cute and girly It always attracts to their make up stand. Here are my top Bourjois Picks

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation was my ‘go to’ foundation last summer, its light but gives enough coverage to give you (as the name suggests) a healthy glow. This is also the foundation I reach for on a night out, as it doesn't cause any camera flashback. The Healthy Mix concealer also works a treat; I tend to use this under my eyes.

I purchased the 123 Perfect Foundation when Healthy Mix was out of stock at my local Boots, this foundation gives a medium coverage with a dewy finish. I love the fact this foundation comes in a glass bottle compared to the Healthy Mix.

I love mascara and I’m always on the lookout for something to give me flirty fluttery lashes and the Queen Volume Mascara does just that. The colour is a very intense black and it doesn't take much to achieve defined lashes with amazing volume and length.

The Blush Pots are Adorable, I love the cute little packaging and it also include and brush and a mirror. The blush itself very pigmented and adds a lovely touch of colour to your cheeks, my particular favourite is Lilas D'or as it was beautiful golden shimmer running through it. I usually carry one around with me in my make up bag as it’s so compact.

The Rouge Edition Lipsticks are the latest additions to my collection, these apply so easily to your lips and have a great colour payoff, Rose Tweed 04 is currently my go to everyday lipstick as it’s not too over the top for work. I'm also a big fan of the Lip Exclusif lipgloss as it adapts to the ph in your lips so everyone has their own unique shade, how clever!

What do you think of Bourjois products? Is there a product you recommend I try from them?

The Closest I will Probably Ever Get to Cheryl Cole

Now I know there are some closet Girls Aloud fans out there, come on, admit it you love the upbeat annoyingly catchy pop tunes these girls produce and if you don’t then you’re bound to have a girl crush on at least one of them. Hi Cheryl!

One of my Christmas presents from my boyfriend was to see Girls Aloud on their ‘Ten’ tour and oh my gosh what a great night. They all looked gorgeous and sounded perfect, my friend that I went with isn’t the biggest fan but even she was so impressed, we have had their Ten album on repeat ever since.

Even with Cheryl’s new controversial tattoo she still looked like a babe, I think it’s just her whole presence I just can’t help but be drawn to her!

Anyway I thought you guys might like a quick nosy though my photos.

Have you been to see girls aloud?

Lord And Berry Eye Make Up

I love discovering new brands especially ones that are great quality and still affordable and Lord and Berry Fit Perfectly into this category.

When it comes to eyeliner I am usually a loyal Rimmel girl as they have always done the trick but the Lord and Berry ones just seem to have that bit of extra luxury attached to them.

The Lord & Berry Smudgeproof Eye Pencil in Black is absolutely perfect for on the waterline, it applies like silk and leaves a very intense black finish, perfect for a dramatic eye. It also has brilliant staying power, I never need to reapply during the day.

I use the InkGlam Liquid eyeliner along the base of my upper lashes and to create a flirty cat flick. It’s so easy to control and gives perfect precision each time. This dries SO fast! So if you do go wrong or have a slight slip of the hand make sure you wipe it of asap because its not gonna wait around your you, the staying power is second to none.

The Seta Eye Shadow in Premiere is a gorgeous slate colour. The formula is very soft and sheer but is also buildable helping you to create a fabulous smokey eye look.

This is my first taste of the Brand Lord and Berry and It definitely will not be my last, these 3 products definitely have a safe place in my everyday make up routine, All of these products are under £10 so I cant wait to try some more from them. You can find Lord and Berry over at BeautyExpert, so what are you waiting for?
