Benefit That Gal Brightening Face Primer - £21.50
"Our silky pink primer takes your complexion from dull to darling! Simply blend it on for the look of brighter, smoother skin. Contains light-reflecting pigments to help brighten all skin tones and raspberry & camomile to soothe skin."
I’m quite fascinated by primers at the moment, the thought
that something can keep your make up in place all day quite excites me. Usually
my days at work are quite busy and I don’t really get that much chance to re –
apply my make up so if there is a product out there that will help me still
have my make up on by the end of the day I’m willing to give it ago.
I purchased the Benefit That Gal Brightening Face Primer a
couple of months ago after saving up my Boots Advantage Card points, hi
freebie! This first thing that attracted me to this was the packaging, like all
Benefit products it’s gorgeous and girly and will look fabulous on my dressing
table. I read a few reviews and decided this was worth spending my points on.
For every reason I like this product there is a con to
follow.
I wanted this primer to brighten my complexion and keep my
make up in place all day. It brightens my skin perfectly; it gives my skin a
healthy glow and my make up a nice dewy finish. It does not however keep my
make up in place, which was one of my main missions.
Like I said I love the packaging, its right up my street but
the product tube itself could be improved. It reminds me of a pritt stick that I
used at school the way you have to twist it to get the product out. I don’t like
that I can’t see how much product I have left and it’s not something you can
cut open to get the last bits out of. I know that sounds a bit weird but when
you pay so much for a product I like to use every last bit.
It smells amazing, a bit like strawberries and while I like
this I know some people aren’t keen on putting scented things on their face so
if not this might not be for you.
At £21.50 a pop I do consider this expensive and I don’t
think I will be repurchasing. For me the main point of a primer is to hold my
make up in place and even though I really like brightening aspect and look of
the packaging, unfortunately this didn’t fulfil my needs.
Have you tried this primer? What helps keep your make up in
place?
I got a freebie of this with Glamour magazine a couple of months ago and really wasn't very impressed - I couldn't see any real difference between when I used this than when I didn't! xo

DeleteAww, it's a shame that it didn't keep you makeup in place for the price it cost! I've never used a primer but have been looking into getting one. There's so many though, I don't know what to pick!
ReplyDeleteI've recently started using the Revlon Colorstay foundation and that seems to stay put for a good majority of the day.
