Nails: Essie, To buy Or Not To Buy

To Buy Or Not To Buy

Hi guys! Today’s nails are my first experience of Essie nail polishes, I know where have I been, right?

‘To Buy Or Not To Buy’ is very appropriate for my first Essie post as I have actually been umming and arring over whether to buy or not to buy these polishes for a while. Now I’m not tight with money but I can’t help thinking is a nail polish really worth £7.99 when you can buy a gorgeous Barry M polish for £2.99? I know some brands are more expensive than Essie but there are also some a lot cheaper.

Well, you can imagine my excitement when I read on Twitter that Fragrance Direct were selling Essie polishes for the bargainous price of £1.99! so I picked up 3, I figured if I can try them at a cheaper price and liked them I wouldn't feel guilty paying full price.

Anyway back to the polish, I'm impressed. I love this colour a gorgeous pale lilac with blue glitter undertones. The brush is quite thick which makes application very easy; I applied 2 coats to get the desired look.

I was a bit disappointed that the blue shimmer doesn't really show up on the nails but I can forgive this as I still really love the colour.

Overall, first Essie impressions, so far so good and it has definitely made me want to buy some more. (And if more appear on Fragrance Direct happy days!)

Do you love Essie nail polish? What’s your favourite shade?

  4. I adore Essie polishes, I find the formula is fantastic and lasts for ages on my nails. Quite often boots have Essie polish on 3 for 2 which does make it a lot easier on the purse! I prefer the lighter colours to the darker ones but that's just my personal preference.
