Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate Moss 107

After having a fear of bright lipstick for so long I am happy to say I am finally breaking down this barrier and being a bit more experimental with my lipstick choices. I've actually discovered that with my dark hair I actually quite suit deep, plum colours so when I saw the Rimmel Lasting Finish Matte Lipstick by Kate Moss in 107 over on the lovely Amy’s blog sale I had to snap it up.

As with other Kate Moss lipsticks I have tried it is so pigmented and you don’t really need to use much to get a great colour pay off I find one layer is enough, and it really does last well on my lips. I have found with some matte lipsticks that I have used before that they can be quite drying but I haven’t had this problem with this.

I wish I had purchased this colour earlier as it would have been perfect for autumn/winter, maybe not so much in the springtime but I have been reaching for this when I have been going on a night out as I think it adds a bit of edge to my overall look.

I haven’t really got a bad word to say about this, if you are after an affordable, long lasting lipstick then this range is the one to check out.

Have you tried any Kate Moss Lipsticks?

Cheeky Fragrance Direct Haul

All of the above came to less than £20, yes you read that correctly, less than £20! I can still hear my boyfriend’s voice ‘Do you really need more nail polishes? I swear you already have those colours’ ‘yes Dean I do and no they are all completely different colours!’, well ok some of them are very similar to ones I already have but as they are Essie and at only £2 a pop they are all justified!

I also took this opportunity to introduce myself to the wonderful world of Dainty Doll by Nicola Roberts and on first impressions I am excited about the products I purchased! I got a power blush, cream blush and an eye shadow base, so expect some reviews coming your way soon. The packaging is so gorgeous though and I can’t wait to use each one! The 2 blushes were £1.99 and the eye shadow base £2.99 it would have be rude of me not to purchase. I've also ordered another of their blushes from Amazon as Fragrance Direct ran out already but I'm going to keep checking back and maybe buy some more from the range.

Have you found any Fragrance Direct bargains lately? I'm off to paint my nails, decisions decisions.

Magnifibres Brush on False Lashes

I had never actually heard about Magnifibres before which actually quite surprised me as I love having long fluttery lashes.

Magnifibres Brush on False Lashes is a quick and easy way of adding length and volume to your lashes, you don’t need glue or a friend to help you stick them on all you need is the Magnifibres along with your mascara of choice, then follow these 3 simple steps:

♥ Apply your own mascara as usual and immediately move onto step 2.

♥ Apply Magnifibres onto your lashes while the mascara is still wet, using the same technique as if you were applying mascara, but look down.

♥ Wait 30-60 seconds so the fibres can stick to your lashes, and then apply a second coat of your usual mascara to cover the white fibres.

And there you have it. Your lashes will appear fuller and longer as the mascara has more to stick to, clever!
I’m really impressed with this; you can see the evidence in my pictures that my lashes undoubtedly look longer and still look natural.

Be careful while applying though as I did find it is easy to apply too much Magnifibres which can result in those horrible spider lashes, so just carefully apply one layer so your mascara can sit nicely on top.

It removes easily too, your usual eye make-up remover should do the trick. I really like this and it will be especially great if you have naturally shorter lashes.

What do you think? Will Magnifibres pull you away from your false lashes? Magnifibres are available on the HQhair website.

Little Things Make Me Happy

Flowers in the dining room making the house look and smell gorgeous.
Fresh sheets on my bed and having an early night with the boy.
Family time and eating way too many plates of buffet food.
Post Work Cocktails

A Saturday morning lie in with a cup of tea

I like that at the end of the month when my bank balance is suffering there are still little things that can make me smile, a bit of family time and fresh bedding is all you need. What have you been up to this weekend?
