Essie Jag-u-are

Jag-u-are

It's finally Friday! I don't know about you but I always find these 4 day weeks are still too long and slow, I just want a Lie in! I'm off to the seaside this weekend to see my mums family which should be nice just wish this weather was a bit better, spring is not coming this year is it?

After my huge Essie haul from Fragrance Direct last week my nails were just dying to be painted and there was one particular colour that really stood out to me.

Jag-u-are by Essie is a stunning red with a very subtle gold undertone and I just love how shiny it is! Red is always a classic that I think can clam up any look; it really complemented my LBD at the weekend.

I can’t get enough of Essie polishes at the minute the colours are always so pretty and have great staying power, I know this will be the red I constantly reach for in the next few months.

What’s your favourite Essie Polish?

Katy Perry Color Pop Lashes

As much as I love long fluttery lashes I must admit I very rarely use false lashes, I’m all about mascaras.
What excited me about the Katy Perry Color Pop Lashes was in fact the ‘Colour pop’ part, there are mascaras out there that claim to brighten your eyes or make the pop so I was really excited to see if false lashes could do a better job.

The Lashes I have are in Ka-ching which is perfect for my hazel eyes. The lashes are predominantly black with emerald green strands running through them helping to add colour, volume and length, they are easy to apply, re-usable and suitable for contact lens wearers like myself.

Saturday night was party night for me and I’m so happy to report that these lashes went the distance. I think they look great on the eyes as they aren’t too thick, they are comfortable and they held in place for the entire night. Although I think they are way to over the top for day time I will certainly be reaching for these on my next night out.

The Katy Perry Color Pop Lashes are available for a bargainous £6.45 on the Lookfantastic website.

What do you think? Are you a fan of false lashes?

A 4 Day Weekend is Never Long Enough

Tulips to Brighten our living room
Friday Night Cheese Biscuits
Saturday Night, Live Music
Easter Bunnies arrived!
Lunch With The Bestie
My New Heart Light

I can't believe the bank holiday weekend is over already, but I had a lovely one with my friends and family. On Saturday night my boyfriend had a gig so we all went down and danced til our feet hurt. Someone had the fantastic idea of jagerbombs... the next thing I know I'm waking up on the sofa with a very unhealthy bank balance and I only got paid last week!

How cute is my new heart light! It was an absolute bargain, about £4 from B&M and it made crawling into my bed Sunday night that bit more relaxing.

I ate so much cheese and chocolate at the weekend and while I loved it at the time, I have got fat. Obviously its not just this weekends cheese that has caused this but I do think I need a bit of a lifestyle change, our holiday is booked now so I have the perfect motivation, bring on the salad!

What did you get up to this weekend?

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate Moss 107

After having a fear of bright lipstick for so long I am happy to say I am finally breaking down this barrier and being a bit more experimental with my lipstick choices. I've actually discovered that with my dark hair I actually quite suit deep, plum colours so when I saw the Rimmel Lasting Finish Matte Lipstick by Kate Moss in 107 over on the lovely Amy’s blog sale I had to snap it up.

As with other Kate Moss lipsticks I have tried it is so pigmented and you don’t really need to use much to get a great colour pay off I find one layer is enough, and it really does last well on my lips. I have found with some matte lipsticks that I have used before that they can be quite drying but I haven’t had this problem with this.

I wish I had purchased this colour earlier as it would have been perfect for autumn/winter, maybe not so much in the springtime but I have been reaching for this when I have been going on a night out as I think it adds a bit of edge to my overall look.

I haven’t really got a bad word to say about this, if you are after an affordable, long lasting lipstick then this range is the one to check out.

Have you tried any Kate Moss Lipsticks?
