Nails: Barry M Green Berry

Something strange happened the weekend just gone… there was this big bright yellow thing in the sky giving out heat which hasn't been seen since last year. What is it!? Yes that right the sun made an appearance this weekend!

Although I'm still probably too early to run and grab a spot in a pub garden it’s definitely time to give my nails a bit of spring time make over.

As soon as I saw Greenberry from the Barry M Gelly Hi Shine collection I knew I needed it in my life. It’s such a unique green that certainly attracts attention, it applies so easily and it’s so shiny! It did take a while for it to dry though so be careful if you're a bit impatient like me but the end result is fab and I know I will be wearing this colour a lot throughout spring and Summer.

What do you think? Have you tried any polishes from the  Barry M Gelly collection?

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation

Even when I find a high street foundation I like I'm always intrigued in what other brands have to offer and for one reason or another I have never gotten around to purchasing this well hyped offer from Rimmel.

I am probably the last blogger to own this but the Rimmel ‘Wake Me Up’ foundation finally has a place on my dressing table. First of all I love that it comes in a glass bottle with a pump, all foundations should come like this.

The product itself applies very easily and one pump is more than enough to give me the perfect even coverage. My favourite part of this is the finish, I am can now say that this is fully worth the hype as it gives a beautifully healthy look to my skin, like it really has ‘woken’ my skin up, which let’s face it, most of us need in these cold and dark mornings.

The staying power is great, I use this over my Clarins Instant Smooth Primer and it lasts all day. For a high street foundation I'm so impressed and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this if you’re looking for an affordable product that does the job, I wish I'd picked this up sooner.

Have you tried 'Wake me up'? What's your current favourite foundation?

Sunday Funday: Cushions and Cuddles

I can't believe it’s Monday morning already, the weekend will just never be long enough. I had a lovely day yesterday though, for me Sundays are all about leisure and doing whatever you want whether it’s shopping, eating or just spending the day lazing in your pyjamas and I did a bit of all 3 yesterday.

My friend and I did a bit of shopping and I picked up these two gorgeous cushions from Primark, how cute is the fox one! I cam so close to buying 'that' Zara bag which everyone seems to have but I didn't wanna follow the crowd and now i cant stop thinking about it! I may have to do a cheeky online purchase on my lunch break.

Shopping is never the same without a spot of lunch and Nandos was our food of choice, I opted for medium chicken then poured hot sauce all over it, you can’t beat a bit of spice.

I finished of the day with a bit of nail painting and having a blog and You Tube catch up. I love snuggling up in bed with a cup of tea, chocolate bar and lighting lots of candles, it’s just what Sundays are made for.

What did you get up to this weekend?

Nails: L'oreal Confetti Top Coat

I was excited about the L’oreal Confetti Top Coat as soon as I heard about it. I love nail art but with my unsteady hand and lack of patience I often find myself in a smudgy mess and a bad mood so when a simple product comes along that does everything for you I immediately need it in my life.

The L’oreal Confetti is a clear polish with matte flecks of glitter in it, I’ve heard people describe it as ‘salt and pepper’ nails which I think sums up the look perfectly. All you have to do is apply one coat on top of your desired polish and you’re away. I opted to pair it with Elizabeth St by Nails Inc which I think looks gorgeous for spring time; In fact I think this will compliment any pastel shade perfectly.

What do you think? Simple and affordable you can’t really go wrong.

Oh and Happy Friday everyone!
