Charlie Says...

Face: DrJart BB Cream, Collection lasting perfection Concealer, Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed powder, Nars Deep throat
Eyes: Naked Basics Faint on eyebrows, L’oreal super liner, Max Factor Eye Brightening Mascara
Lips: Maybelline Baby Lips in Pink Punch

It’s been a while since I've done a chatty post so I think it’s time for a good old catch up.

♥ This is the makeup I've been rocking almost event day. I seemed to have slipped back into just using the same products all the time especially when I need to get up for work in the morning, no time for experimenting unfortunately!

♥ It’s now just less than 4 weeks until my holiday to Mexico! It feels like forever a go that we booked it but it’s finally almost here! I am so excited, there is still a bit of shopping to do before I go, a Primark trip is definitely in order. I'm just really looking forward to getting away and relaxing. Make sure you follow my Instagram as I'm sure I will be posting lots of pictures (or unfollow if it will make you too jealous haha.)

♥ The girls and I have booked a last minute day trip to Paris next week, I feel like a right jet setter! We get to have lunch in the Eiffel Tower so I’m super excited and it will be nice to have some girly time.

♥ Fitness wise I am doing really well and have lost 2 inches from around my waist. I've gotten rid of the scales and am just going on how I feel, if you follow me on twitter you might be a bit fed up of all my fitness posts but it really has helped me keep motivated and I'm a bit less nervous about my bikini now.

♥ I know I've been a bit slow on the old blog posts at the minute but I've been enjoying sometime away from my laptop and doing getting outside especially now the weather is getting nicer. I can’t wait for summer and I’m hoping to do some more outdoor lifestyle posts.

What have you been up to lately?

My Current Eveyday Make Up

If you had asked me 6 months ago what my everyday make up routine was I would have found it really hard to pick out the products. Reading so many blog posts and watching you tube videos I would always run out and buy the latest hyped up super products that I obviously needed in my life.

As you may or may not be aware since starting my current job my blog has been slightly neglected and hasn't had as much as my time as it deserves, this also means I haven’t had as much time to read other peoples.
As rubbish as I have been this has actually had a positive effect on my bank account and has made me realise which products I really love and keep going back to every day.

To start I prime with the Bourjois Happy Light primer, this is a product I'm really glad I jumped on the bandwagon for. I first purchased DrJart BB cream for my holiday last year as I wanted something lighter with a good spf, since purchasing this I've not looked back. I love how my skin can still breathe yet have a nice dewy finish. I apply this with my trusty buffing brush.

I'm still loving the Collection lasting perfection concealer, even though I hate the way the writing rubs off the packaging I will still continue to repurchase this. To finish my face I will apply the Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder in translucent with my Real Techniques big Duo Fibre Race brush. I then like to set my make up with the Caudalie Beauty Elixir.

I like to keep my eyes simple so usually no eye shadow, the L'oreal Super Liner in black, the Bare Minerals waterproof eyeliner for my waterline and the Benefit Bad Gal mascara for my lashes. Job done.

Cheeks is the beautiful Nars blush in Deep Throat, despite the outrageous name the product itself is beautifully subtle but easily buildable.

And last but not least for my lips I use Mac Hue.

So there we go, my current everyday face. If you do know any products that I am missing in my life please leave your recommendations in the comments!

Do you use any of these products?

You Tube Inspired Every Day Make Up

It’s not often I get a night in by myself but when I do I like to make sure I have my pyjamas, cup of tea and laptop to hand. By the end of the night I usually end up with a wishlist as long as my arm and wondering why pay day is still so far away.

Lately though I have been logging onto my laptop and watching countless You Tube videos, especially ‘Get ready with me’ videos. As much as I love make up and have quite a vast selection I still consider myself a bit of a novice when it comes to applying the stuff, eye make up is still my weakness, one day I will perfect the smokey eye!

Below I have added a couple of links to the videos that have really helped me learn how to sort out my hair and make up properly.

After watching this the Naked Basics pallet has gone straight to the top of my wishlist!

Barbara has such great cheek bones and has contouring down to a tee, this is another thing I really need to work on!

I love that Meg uses both high street and high end products,I'm sure 99% of bloggers and beauty you tubers own the Collection lasting perfection concealer, its amazing.

So here is my attempt!
Face: Dr Jart water fuse BB Cream. Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, Rimmel Stay matte pressed Powder
Eyes: Benefit World Famous Neutrals Palette, Dainty Doll Eyeliner. L'oreal Telescopic Mascara
Lips: Maybelline Baby lips in Punch Pink
Hair: Enrapture Totem Styler Setting 1-1-1.

What do you think? What You Tubers inspire your look?

Face: Bourjouis Healthy Mix Foundation and Concealer, Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder, Dainty Doll Blush My Girl
Eyes: Maybelline Gel Eyeliner, Elf EyeBrow Kit in Dark, MUA White Eyeliner, L'oreal Volume Million Luminizer Mascara.
Lips: Revlon Lip Butter, Cotton Candy

This is my Shopping face. I love a bit of white eye liner to the inner corner of my eyes. it's really pretty and make me look a bit more awake. I'm all so back on the Healthy Mix foundation, I couldn't resist it when I found out it had been relaunched. For me this is 100% the best highstreet foundation I've tried.

This week I have bought a new car! My little KA called Percy has been so faithful for the last 6 years but unfortunatley he was starting to cost me more than it's actually worth so time for an upgrade. My New Fiesta has big shoes to fill!

A new car results in a massive spending ban. I really need to stop giving into blogger hype and actually start using up some of the products I have so you can expect more blog posts along the lines of 'shopping my stash', some outfit posts and a couple more lifestyle ones thrown in there too.

I am finally motivated about fitness. i have downloaded an iphone app called 'My Fitness Pal' and my god it really did show me that I was eating way more calories than I actually thought I was! In the first week of logging my food I lost 4 pound, 4 pound! That never happens to me but it's really spurred me on. Fit body here we come!

My little blog has hit 500 followers. WOW. I remember writing my first posts wondering if anyone would actually read it and now 500 followers just seems crazy! I'm pleased with how far my little blog has come and I'm looking forward to it growing some more throughout the next year.

Face: Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation. Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer. Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder.
Eyes: Elf Eyebrow Kit Dark. Lord and Berry Smudge proof Eyeliner*. L'oreal Volume Million Luminizer Mascara.
Lips: Revlon lip Butter, Cotton Candy.

Say Cheese! This is the make-up that I have been rocking most days this month, quite subtle and best of all, all the products are affordable. My Wake Me Up foundation is just about to run out and I can’t decide whether to repurchase straight away or go back to Bourjois Healthy Mix now it has a pretty new glass bottle.

April has been a busy month for me, starting with my Mum's birthday, then 3 of my best friends have their birthdays all in the same week, my bank balance has definitely taken a battering but it’s all good fun. I think I will need to go into hibernation in May and start saving some money for my holiday.

I've started to take photos of my outfits to put on my blog but I've been feeling really self-conscious about uploading them. I'm not really happy with how my body looks at the minute so I just feel like I’m not doing the clothes justice and I can’t get the perfect photo. Note to self, stop snacking on cheese!

My eyebrows are getting a bit out of control at the moment but I just haven’t had the chance to get them done and I'm not very good at plucking them myself. But if I say I'm going for the Cara look then it’s totally acceptable right?

I'm off out for my friend’s birthday tonight and I’m wearing a fabulous Motel playsuit I picked up in the sale, It’s bright and summery and I can’t wait to wear it more now the weather is starting to pick up!
